Collapse - New York

cast latex
The facade of my childhood home becomes an aging skin-like quilt that I wrap around myself and drape over a clothes line. Soft light reveals the thinness of the painted latex. I revel in the moments of intimacy where it touches itself, the front and the back, top and bottom deconstructed by its folding formlessness. Collapsed onto itself its rubbery volume fills the space of three people. It is an entropic skin.
