To collapse is to fall apart. Cultures can collapse when there is no one to hold tradition. It is also possible to collapse the boundaries that keep things apart in order to create new connections and supports.
Collapse - Japan is a meditation on memory, material, and space. It is about erosion and preservation, process and duration. The kakishibu and rabbit skin glue treated gampi paper is both inside and outside, chaos and pattern. It is a modern skin made with traditional architectural materials.
